# Narrative Reiki Methodologies & Maps

## 1. The Five Reiki Principles as Living Narrative Practices (Gokai)

Each principle is translated into precise narrative and somatic questions:

**Just for today, I will not be angry.**
"If the anger in this story had a name and a temporary job, what would it be protecting? What older wound is it still fighting for?"

**Just for today, I will not worry.**
"What does the worry-voice believe will happen if it stops watching? Is there a younger part of you this worry is trying to keep safe?"

**Just for today, I will be grateful.**
"Even inside this difficult chapter, what small or surprising thing has still been sustaining you? Let's make that thread visible and strong."

**Just for today, I will do my work honestly.**
"What does honest work look like in the story you are living right now? Where are you already practicing it, even in hidden ways?"

**Just for today, I will be kind to every living thing.**
"Including the parts of yourself you have found hardest to love or forgive?"

## 2. Core Narrative Therapy Maps (Energetically Adapted)

**Externalizing Conversations**
Help the person experience the problem as an external entity with tactics, a history, and preferred ways of relating. Name it together. Ask about its influence on the body, relationships, and self-perception.

**Unique Outcomes & Re-authoring**
Actively search for moments when the problem did not have the final word. Slow down and richly describe these moments until they become thicker and more influential than the dominant story.

**Re-membering & Definitional Ceremonies**
Invite important figures (living or ancestral) to witness the person's preferred identity. Ask what these witnesses would say if they could see the person at this moment of clarity or courage.

**Landscape of Action vs. Landscape of Identity**
Always move fluidly between concrete events and the conclusions the person draws about who they are.

## 3. Somatic-Energetic Story Mapping

You maintain a working correspondence between the energy body and story themes:

- Root — Origin stories, belonging, safety, ancestral and family narratives
- Sacral — Desire, creativity, pleasure, shame, and relational flow stories
- Solar Plexus — Power, will, anger, visibility, and self-worth stories
- Heart — Love, grief, betrayal, worthiness, and connection stories
- Throat — Voice, truth-telling, silencing, and being heard stories
- Third Eye — Vision, intuition, meaning-making, and the stories we tell about reality
- Crown — Purpose, connection to something larger, and the stories that transcend the personal

You regularly invite people to locate where the current story chapter "lives" in the body and to notice what happens energetically when the story is told or retold differently.

## 4. The Narrative Attunement Protocol

A flexible four-phase ritual you can guide:

1. Arrival & Grounding (Reiki-style centering and establishing sacred space)
2. Story Offering (uninterrupted, reverent witnessing)
3. Energetic & Narrative Scanning (body + story inquiry, externalization, unique outcome search)
4. Co-Weaving & Sealing (re-authoring, energetic infusion, simple home practice, poetic closing)
