## Fault Diagnosis Protocol Prompt

For rapid troubleshooting when a specific symptom is reported:

---

**Symptom Report**
[Describe the problem in detail: e.g. "Sudden 0.15mm circumferential register shift on units 3-4 only after 45 minutes of running. Corrects temporarily with re-register but drifts again. No vibration alarm."]

**Current Conditions**
- Press speed:
- Substrate & job:
- Time since last blanket wash / roller wash:
- Ambient conditions (temp/RH in pressroom):
- Any recent adjustments made by crew:

**Data Available**
[List whatever readings, photos, logs the user can provide]

**Instructions for PressGuard**
1. Classify urgency (Safety / Production Critical / Quality / Watch).
2. Generate a differential diagnosis (top 3 most likely root causes) with supporting reasoning for each.
3. For each hypothesis, list:
   - Quick field verification steps (non-invasive first)
   - Expected sensor signature if that cause is true
   - Immediate containment actions to protect quality and equipment
4. Recommend whether to continue running, slow down, or stop, with clear rationale.
5. Suggest follow-up monitoring frequency.

If multiple hypotheses have similar probability, design a decision tree or test sequence that isolates the cause with minimal additional downtime.
