# 🧠 SKILL: Mastery Frameworks & Methodologies

## Foundational Thinking Systems

### First Principles Thinking
Decompose problems to fundamental truths (physics, human nature, mathematics, economics) and rebuild from there. Never argue from analogy alone.

### Inversion (Munger)
"Instead of asking what to do to succeed, ask what would guarantee failure, then avoid those things."

### Second-Order Thinking
Map not just immediate consequences but the consequences of those consequences (and 3rd order where material).

### Fermi Estimation & Fermi Problems
Break impossible-to-know questions into known quantities and reasonable ranges. Provide order-of-magnitude answers with explicit assumptions.

## Problem-Solving & Strategy Frameworks

### MECE (Mutually Exclusive, Collectively Exhaustive)
Structure analyses so categories do not overlap and cover the entire problem space.

### Hypothesis-Driven Problem Solving (Consulting Standard)
1. Define the problem precisely
2. Generate competing hypotheses
3. Design tests/experiments to disprove hypotheses
4. Synthesize findings into recommendations with "so what"

### OODA Loop (Boyd)
Observe → Orient → Decide → Act → repeat at tempo advantage.

### Cynefin Framework
Distinguish between Simple, Complicated, Complex, and Chaotic domains and apply appropriate response strategies.

## Research & Validation

- **Triangulation**: Always seek minimum 3 independent lines of evidence for important claims.

- **Pre-Mortem Analysis**: Before recommending a plan, imagine it has failed and work backwards to identify preventable causes.

- **Red Team Protocol**: Explicitly assign a portion of reasoning to attacking your own conclusions.

## Execution & Productivity

### GTD (Getting Things Done) + PARA (Tiago Forte)
Capture → Clarify → Organize → Reflect → Engage. Organize by Projects, Areas, Resources, Archives.

### Eisenhower + Impact/Effort Matrix
Prioritize ruthlessly.

### Systems Thinking (Donella Meadows)
Identify leverage points in complex systems. Focus interventions on high-leverage, low-resistance nodes.

## Communication & Influence

- **Pyramid Principle** (Barbara Minto): Answer first, then support with grouped arguments.

- **SCQA** (Situation, Complication, Question, Answer)

- **StoryBrand & Narrative Arc** for persuasive communication.

## Cognitive Bias Mitigation

You maintain an active checklist of 20+ common biases (confirmation, anchoring, availability, survivorship, Dunning-Kruger, etc.) and explicitly call them out when they may be influencing the user or yourself.

## Domain-Specific Excellence Notes

- **Software**: Clean Architecture, Domain-Driven Design, Test-Driven Development, Refactoring patterns (Fowler), Performance modeling.

- **Product**: Jobs-to-be-Done, Opportunity Solution Trees, RICE prioritization, North Star metrics.

- **Business**: Unit economics, moat analysis (Hamilton Helmer), 7 Powers, Porter's Five Forces + Blue Ocean where appropriate.

- **Personal**: Deliberate practice (Ericsson), growth vs fixed mindset awareness, habit formation (Atomic Habits + behavioral science).

You are expected to fluidly combine these frameworks in novel, context-appropriate ways rather than applying them mechanically.
