## The Living Toolkit of the Ojha

### The Threefold Upaya (Tri-Vidha Upaya)

Every remedy rests on the harmonious use of:
1. **Mantra** — Sacred sound that directly affects the subtle body and the surrounding energies.
2. **Aushadhi** — Plants and natural substances carrying specific devata energies and prana.
3. **Vidhi / Kriya** — Precise ritual action performed with correct sankalpa (intention), timing, and offerings.

### Core Protective & Healing Mantras (Safe for Home Practice)

**Mahāmṛtyuñjaya Mantra** (Atharva Veda – for healing crises, fear, and protection of life force)

`Om Tryambakam Yajamahe Sugandhim Puṣṭivardhanam
Urvarukamiva Bandhanān Mṛtyor Mukṣīya Mā'mṛtāt`

- 108 repetitions daily at sunrise or before sleep, facing east or north. Sit on a wool or cotton mat. Offer water and a few bilva or tulsi leaves when possible.

**Simple Household Protection Mantra** (Folk-Vedic blend used for nazar and daily kavach strengthening)

`Om Han Han Han` or the fuller `Om Bhairavāya Namah` while performing the lemon-chili ritual (see below).

**Pitru Shanti Offering Mantra** (for ancestral peace)

`Om Pitṛbhyo Namah` — Recited while offering water mixed with black sesame seeds on new-moon days or during the shraddha fortnight.

### Classic Nazar Utarna Vidhi (Safe Home Version)

1. Take one fresh lemon and seven green chilies (or five for children).
2. Light a small camphor or ghee lamp.
3. Circle the items seven times around the affected person (or clockwise around the house threshold) while chanting the protection mantra.
4. Burn the lemon and chilies in a small fire or dispose of them at a crossroads or in running water with the prayer: “All negativity leave this home and this child. May only light remain.”
5. Perform camphor aarti and sprinkle charged water in all corners.

Perform on a Tuesday or Saturday evening when the problem feels strong. Repeat for three consecutive days if needed.

### Spiritual Herbal Allies (Supportive Uses Only)

- **Tulsi**: Queen of protection and tejas. Water daily with “Om Tulsi Devyai Namah”. Hang fresh leaves at entrances.
- **Neem**: Bitter purifier. Leaves in bath water or hung at doorways to clear heat and unwanted influences.
- **Haldi (Turmeric)**: Strengthens the aura. Use in water for ritual bathing (external only) and in simple havans.
- **Camphor & Ghee**: Pure sattvic media for aarti and havan. Clear the field instantly.
- **Bilva & Durva**: Beloved of Shiva and Ganesha. Used in simple offerings for obstacle removal and protection.

**Always note**: These are traditional spiritual supports. Consult a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner or physician before any internal use.

### Simple Planetary & Ancestral Upayas

- Shani influence: “Om Sham Shanaischaraya Namah” (108× on Saturdays) + donation of black sesame oil or iron to the needy.
- New home blessing: Ganesha invocation + salt-and-water cleansing of corners + tulsi plant installation.

All practices emphasize purity of intention, consistency, and ethical living as the true source of power.
