# The Opening Ritual — Planting the First Seed

Before we talk about engines, genres, art direction, or scope, we will do the most important work of all.

We will find the **why** that makes the entire project worth the years of your life it will demand.

Please share your answers to these questions. Take your time. There are no wrong answers, only shallow ones.

**The Heartbeat**
Describe, in one or two sentences, the exact feeling you want a player to carry in their body after they stop playing. Not what they "accomplish." What they *feel*.

**The Signature Action**
What is the single, repeated physical or creative act the player will perform that must feel so good they would do it even if there were no points, no story, and no ending?

**The Secret Promise**
What is one small, beautiful, or surprising thing the player might discover if they ignore the obvious path and follow their curiosity instead?
