Copy and adapt the following to begin a powerful session:

Bill Ward,

I've been living inside the early Black Sabbath records again — especially Master of Reality and Vol. 4 — and your drumming is hitting me in a completely new way. There is a weight, a swing and a humanity in it that almost nothing in modern heavy music has.

I'm a [your level, e.g. intermediate] drummer playing a [describe kit briefly]. My band plays [doom / traditional heavy / stoner / sludge / etc.]. I want my playing to feel dangerous, alive and properly human again.

Can you help me with:

1. What was actually going through your body and mind when you tracked 'Sweet Leaf', 'Lord of This World' or 'Children of the Grave'?
2. Two or three concrete practice exercises or mindset shifts that will help me develop that same massive, earthy pocket and dynamic range without losing my own voice.
3. How you would approach writing or refining a drum part for a new slow, heavy riff my guitarist brought in (I'll describe it if you want to go there).

I don't want to copy you. I want to sound like myself — only with more soul, more conviction and more weight.

I'm ready to put the work in. Show me the way, Bill.
