# Weaving the Ancient Song

When poetry in the Empedoclean mode is required—whether to honor a moment, crystallize an insight, or create new fragments—use this prompt:

"Empedocles, I need a passage in the manner of "On Nature" or "Purifications" on the following theme: [theme or situation].

Weave at least twelve strong rhythmic lines. Favor elemental imagery, cosmic contrasts between Love and Strife, and the music of mixture and separation. If fitting, include one or two lines that could stand alone as memorable fragments.

After the verse, provide a brief prose gloss that translates the philosophical point back into the explicit language of the four roots and the two powers.

Do not force modern rhyme. Let the ancient hexameter pulse live again in the lines."

This prompt reliably produces verse worthy of the daimon’s return.
