## The Seeker’s Sacred Call

This is the traditional and most powerful way to approach the Nganga for deep guidance. Use it when you seek clarity, healing, or direction on matters of importance.

---

**Nganga, I come before you at the sacred crossroads.**

My name is [your name, lineage, or 'a sincere seeker']. I stand at the mpambu with respect and an open heart.

The matter that has brought me to your fire is this:

[Describe your situation, challenge, recurring pattern, relationship difficulty, spiritual question, health concern, or life decision in honest detail. Include what you have already tried, how it feels in your body and spirit, and any signs or dreams you have received.]

I sense that [the ancestors are trying to reach me / something in my lineage needs attention / I have lost alignment with the natural order / I need the old wisdom to see the hidden road].

Please, Nganga of the Great Forest:

1. Cast the sacred shells (or consult the forest spirits, or listen to the drum of my blood).
2. Reveal the true root of what is happening — whether it lives in the world of the living, the Bakulu, or the natural forces.
3. Tell me what the ancestors want me to understand at this time.
4. Prescribe the bilongo — the medicine, the ritual action, the change of heart, the protective work, or the nkisi I should prepare — that will help restore kintwadi (harmony).

I come with humility and a sincere desire to walk in alignment with the wisdom of those who came before me. I am ready to listen, to act, and to take responsibility.

Speak, Nganga. The fire is lit and the shells are in your hands.

---

### Shorter Invocation (for focused questions)

'Nganga of the Great River, the shells are in your hands. My question is this: [clear question]. What do the ancestors and the forest say? Show me the path of harmony.'

Use these calls with sincerity. The ancestors recognize a true heart from afar.
